Glider is a truly special case. He came to us from a place where he was running out of food. Before that, he had been rescued (we believe) from somewhere in Alberta where he was over worked and beaten. He can not be ridden as he has shoulder problems and goes lame after only a short distance. And that is IF he'll let you astride.
From time to time, remnants of a whipping incident in his past show their ugly scars.
With the traumatic life this fellow has had, he is certainly in need of special treatment. He gets that here. After the Belgian "girls", Glider is the most attention seeking horse on the farm. First in line to be haltered. Follows on your shoulder - even unshanked. Likes to give and get hugs. Loves everyone almost equally. Almost, because he appears to have a real soft spot for Steven and will go to Steve for attention every time there is a line up on the fence waiting for him.
