The CHARM Farm Fund Raising Projects

Currently, there is a major drive on to raise the $6000 necessary as a down payment to secure the lease hold won't be sold or put on the market to anyone other than us for a minimum of 1 year. That means we will be able to make our spring 2010 target for securing the mortgage. This has been given to us in writing from the current owner.

This funding is above and beyond all of our other operating costs.

We will be hosting many online contests over the coming weeks to help offset the costs of feed. Puzzle Games and more will be available to community members. As with everything, these things take time to build and time is what is at a premium here.

We are almost complete with a business plan for the rescue side of our operations that will incorporate some major corporate sponsors. The plan will be delivered to several large corporate sponsors with due diligence. Timing is the key to getting to these larger organizations to access any of their sponsorship dollars.

With the corporate sponsorship to aide in completing a majority of the "building" projects here, we will not be so much in need of public assistance, however, feed costs will always be something that we'll need a bit of support to cover.

We truly appreciate the support we've gotten so far. A heartfelt thanks goes out to those who've donated cash.

We also really have to thank Renee from Hoof-Haven for her fundraising efforts. Horsey Halloween is an incredible gesture.

To our other sponsors:

Catfish Plantation
Eric Cloutier
Jess's Sweet Treats
Genealogy by Paulette
Michele H. (whose sponsorship offer is limited by us to only people we know as we aren't about to send some whacko stranger to her private/personal ranch for a guest stay).

Thank You Oh So Much!

Thanks also to the Equine Exchange for helping promote our cause.

If you have any suggestions for businesses or individuals that would be interested in sponsoring an animal, please send us the contact information.

We're going to keep trying to make this a great home for as many animals as possible. We are not currently accpeting any new arrivals until we have the leasehold issue resolved and have some additional funding coming in to help offset the cost of feed. The current residents are all we are able to afford out of pocket - and that does come with a bit of sacrifice.

Thanks again to everyone. If you can't contribute financially, there are other ways to help too. Spread the news about the Farm. Mention us in your Facebook status or Tweet about us.

Become a "Street Teamer". Download and print our posters, flyers and other identified print materials and distribute them around your community.

Getting the message out is of the utmost importance. We are willing to do the work. We are willing to dedicate a major part of our lives to make sure these animals that come from bad environments are treated the way they deserve to be treated. We are even willing to live without many of the "creature comforts" that many folks take for granted, to ensure that this rescue is successful. There are simply too many things to do and not enough of us to get it all done.

We need to be noticed in your community as well as our own.

A donation to TheCHARM Farm is not a handout ... it is a hand up for the animals here.
