CHARM Farm - Chodove Animal Rescue and Maintenance

The CHARM Farm Equipment Requirements

Equipment Wish List
Your Donations could help us to purchase equipment like that mentioned below. So far, we have been progressing using nothing but turn of the century hand tools for most labour tasks. Self reliance is a big part of what we are shooting for, so if you have any of the following equipment and would be willing to donate it or sell it to us please get in touch. Our neighbours have been good to us so far when powered equipment has been a necessity, but someitmes we need it done before they have the time to help.
  • Hay Mower - * ACQUIRED *
  • Hay Rake - * ACQUIRED *
  • Baler
  • 2 Wheel Cart - * ACQUIRED *
  • Bale Feeders
  • Roofing Materials
  • Building Materials
  • Electric Fence wire and insulators
  • Electric Fencer
  • Field Fence Wire
  • Set of Large Pulling Harness for Belgians (complete)
  • small chore tractor with front end loader & 3 pt hitch - * ACQUIRED *
  • 2009 - 2010 feed sources - * ACQUIRED *
  • Post Pounder
  • Powered Post Hole Auger
  • Barrels, Buckets, Pails
  • small mig welder
  • Axe
  • Saddles, Bridles, Halters
  • miscellaneous shop tools, tack, farrier tools, livestock tools, etc.
* The Chore tractor we have acquired has a front end loader that is unremovable and only hydraulics for the loader. We would still like to get a tractor with a 3 pt. hitch and dual hydraulics to be able to ustilize equipment like a swather, haybine and baler that require dual hydraulics.
If you have any of the above equipment and would like to donate it to The CHARM Farm, please send an e-mail to Donations.

Have equipment not on the list above that you think may be helpful? Use the above e-mail link and pop us a note. Most likely we can put it to good use!

Be sure to check the scrolling text at the right of this page in case you have some of the items listed there and would like to pass them along. We believe in recycling. Recently, we reclaimed a large number of fence posts and several hundred feet of barbed wire in exchange for removing an undesired fenceline.

We are especially interested in obtaining horse drawn farming equipment for demonstrations using our team(s).

Current Projects

We recently obtained over 100 acres of hay to cut and bale for winter feed. This should cover our needs for the year.

We need to haul in several truckloads of gravel for the floor of our steel quonset where we want to store our hay and equipment.

We have several hundred feet of corral to remove from a farm near us and rebuild here on The CHARM Farm.

Fund Raisers

We We currently have no planned fundraisers. Please use the Donate button to contribute.

Help Wanted

We need help in aquiring feed, transporting the animals from their location to here, mending barns and fencing. We are accepting volunteers of all ages form virtually any walk of life.
